ON A SUNDAY MORNING
today was a very great sunday morning to start with.
i couldn't attend yesterday service because i had to celebrate my grandma's bdae last night.
today john bevere preached on the message of honouring.
2 John 8 - "look to yourselves that we do not lose those things we worked for, that God will bless us with the
full reward."
i simply love to read all the books that he has published becos they are simply amazing.
what does honor stand for?
its a "valuing" (respect, esteem, valuable and precious)
on the other hand, dishonor is simply the opposite which means to treat as common or ordinary.
honor can be shown in 3 areas
1. action
2. word
3. thought
but TRUE honor comes from the heart :)
Isa 29:13
God says that when there is understanding + honor we will receieve the FULL reward.
he shared about many stories which speaks of honoring be it in the bible or his past experiences.
one was about a church which he had visited before and the attendance in that church was about 120 people. after a short period of time he was asked to go back to that church cause he heard that they had grown from 120 to 1000 people! how awesome is that?
he began to ask the Pastor of the church how did he do it?
the city council of that city apparently couldnt pay off a 25,000 loan.
with all his heart, the Pastor collected a love offering of $25 K from his church and gave it to the city council. the next day, all the workers in that city came & most of them gave their hearts to Jesus till this present day. the church started to grow rapidly till a revival sparked forth in that city! :)
because of that one man who honored God, he received the full reward that God had intended for Him.
through this story, i learn one important principle.
"the greatest reward comes to those who honors God."
i want to get his book on driven by eternity or someone lend me ?
my mum bought the book honours reward tgt with the audio cd inside.
indeed my life has been changed 180 degrees just by this one message taught today.
after the service, went to fellowship with yuling and co.
we had a good lunch at malan la mian then we headed to TM for shooppinggg.
COTTON ON is having their 50% sales ! i am really tempted to get their skirt for $5.
next sunday i am going to the flea market beside tamp mrt (4pm - 10pm)
