BACK FROM KL TRIP

hello my blog readers!
haven't been blogging for some time already since Asia Conference week.
time to update you guys about my KL trip from 27th Nov - 1st Dec.

thursday after school i took a cab back with Alvin & Max to the east side.
changed and rushed to the budget terminal. victor & jon sent me off thank you guys! :)

45mins and we arrived at LCC airport. so we took a cab to our hotel at SUN INN hotel.
initially i thought it was a 3 star hotel but apparently the family deluxe suite wasn't what we expected it to be. there wasn't a proper wardrobe for us to hang our clothes and all so was kinda frustrating. the worst was yet to come okay. hhahaaa. i just need to rant out my feelings for that day.

the water pressure was very little & we didn't know how to use the shower initially till my brother managed to figure it out. apparently according to him, he said there was instructions on the shower tap which will teach us how to use the shower but its soooo SMALL. how can anyone see? hahaa. oh wells, we had to make do with what we had. HAHA.

330RM for 2 nights. oh my gosh. i don't think i am going back to that hotel again.
i rather go to genting and book a hotel there.

anyways, enough of my ranting. haha. on a positive note, beside sun inn hotel was the shopping centre SUNWAY PYRAMID. its really huge and i got to say this but KL's christmas decorations beats Singapore's hands down. its so colourful and bright you know.

didn't do much shopping at sunway because i had sore throat and slight headache that day.
i think it is because of the weather not very good. many others were not feeling well too.
we had a good day i must say.
LUNCH at canton bay was awesome. a 7 course meal that costs 200++ RM only & each person paid 23RM which is equivalent to $9.70 only.
how good can it get? all my favourite dishes and each one of them was simply tasty.
next time if you are going to KL with a big group be it with your family or friends, i recommend you to go there and dine.

DINNER at HAKKA cuisine was also very worth it.
i had my all time favourite abacus seed dish! :D everyone enjoyed the meal.

sat morning we woke up bright and early for Gynnel's wedding.

we made our way to Pst Kevin Loo's church which was very near our hotel.

when we got there, we saw many others waiting at the entrance to enter.

the church reminded me of hollywood days back at paya lebar. the very first time i stepped into CHC was at the age of 8 years old and i will never forget that day. all the good memories.

the whole matrimony was very good. everything started off with Praise and Worship by the song leaders. although their band was small but they really draw down the presence of God into the whole building. then came Pst Kevin Loo's preaching. he is such an awesome preacher who loves to crack jokes every now and then. we met him after the martimony and talked to him for awhile. he is such a relational & humble man. i really look up to him :)

here is an interesting conversation we had with him.

cindy: hi Pastor, we are from city harvest church singapore & have come to visit ur church.

Pastor Kevin: oh wow, no wonder during my preaching it was very noisy at one corner.

yah actually its very true. chc people tend to be very loud and noisy. i guess we are so used to it in church where we always go WOAHHHH WOWWW.... WAHHH !!

i need to say this but the groom Danny is such an amazing singer & he looks like one of those HK actors. he had a little surprise for Gynnel where he sang a song for her with a video in the background :) such a sweet loving couple.

mummy wasn't feeling well so some of us could not attend the service at the church.

but what i heard from cindy was so awesome. that sat their church was having their first fruit wkend cause they are having their 3rd arise and build. it was so amazing you know.

many of them are in their youths probably still schooling or some just started out working. & they raised 3 million RM for their new building! isn't it just awesome?

i believe God is moving in this church and raising up a new generation of leaders that will penetrate into the marketplace to impact the society! :)

Pastor Kevin Loo really takes after our senior Pastor Kong. his dressing sense & style of preaching. his entire church is just so awesome cause when pastor asked who was there at the AC, the whole church raised up their hands. i can really see the desire and hunger they have for the Lord.

i had my haircut at APT :)

needless to say i did alot of shopping and eating at SUNGEI WANG for 2 whole days.

not to forget, Anna & Joey came all the way to fellowship with us. :)

their presence really made a difference

Anna is Gynnel's cgl and she is currently teaching.

Joey is working as a fashion designer now as well as an administrator in the church.

its so amazing to hear their stories and how God has changed their lives.

looking forward to meeting them on 28th dec when they come to SG.

indeed this trip has been life transforming for me.

seeing the people in Pst Kevin Loo's church so on fire for God made me convicted in my own walk with the Lord.

there are times where we experience dryness in our spiritual life as well but ultimately we can always go back to our first love with our Abba Father.

i was just meditating on the verse which Alvin shared with us yesterday after school.

Prov 11: 25 - the generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself.

waters in this case means in the area of sowing unto others be it big or small, God will bless us back in return bountifully.

being generous to people around you.

show them you care.

taking the extra mile to do something for them.

making a difference

sowing a seed

loved
